Sen. Rodriguez, Chairman of the Committee on Health, issued a press release on the Affordable Care Act and opposition to the loopholes.  For the text of the press release, read more.

Today, Senator Rodriguez introduced Bill No. 488-31, which was passed by the body later in session.  Bill No. 488-31 gives the Guam Election Commission the authorization to reconfigure the Primary Election ballot to accomodate Independent candidates. "This bill is necessary to give all those running as either Democrats, Republicans or Independents an opportunity to appear on the ballot for the Primary Election.  I am pleased that my fellow senators supported this bill to help ensure the integrity of our democratic process," stated Senator Rodriguez.

On Saturday, July 7th, Sen. Rodriguez, accompanied by his family, joined many other Legislative candidates at the Guam Election Commission where they were drawing numbers for placement on the Primary Election ballot.

Sen. Rodriguez's daughter, Ashley, was designated to pull the number.  After providing the number to Election commission personnel, it was announced that Sen. Rodriguez would be candidate number 7 on the Democrat ballot for the Primary Election.

The Primary Election will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012.
