The Committee on Health and Human Services, chaired by Sen. Rodriguez, will be conducting a Forum on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling of the Protection and Affordable Care Act tomorrow, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 5:30pm in the Public Hearing Room of I Liheslatura in Hagatna.

The Committee has invited the Office of the Attorney General of Guam, Representatives of NetCare, SelectCare, StayWell and TakeCare, Office of the Governor, the Guam Medical Association, the Guam Medical Society, the Department of Public Health and the Department of Revenue and Taxation to participate in the discussions.

The public is invited to attend or view the proceedings live on GTA channel 21 or MCV channel 13.

Senator Rodriguez issued a press release this morning regarding his reaction to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling to uphold the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).  He expressed his satisfaction with the ruling and the benefits PPACA will bring to the island.  Read more to see the press release in its entirety.

 

Yesterday evening, Senator Rodriguez addressed newly certified Home Health Care Aides at Catholic Social Services.  The senator thanked and congratulated the individuals who received their certification from the Guam Marianas Training Center.
