Multimedia Todu Guam Articles 3 of Senator's Bills Pass in January Session

In the first Legislative Session of 2016, three of Sen. Rodriguez's Bills were debated and voted on, making it a step closer to helping address several community issues.

The 3 Bills were to address community flooding, the Natasha Protection Act and Social Work Licensure.

Bill 136-33 is an act to address flooding in several community areas by using appropriated funds from the FY14 Guam Highway Fund.  This measure passed with 9 yea votes.

Bill 143-33 is an act to strengthen the Natasha Protection Act by adding increased enforcement and training.  The Bill passed unanimously.

Bill 211-33 is an act to extend the timeline for obtaining exemptions and execptions for Social Work Licensure upon the promulgation of the SW Rules and Regulations.  This Bill also passed unanimously.

The Bills, as passed, will now be sent to Gov. Calvo for his approval or veto.
