Todu Guam Foundation prioritizes the safety of visiting faculty, guests and the community as a tropical system approaches the Marianas.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — October 13, 2026
TAMUNING, Guam — Todu Guam Foundation (TGF) announced that the Guam Health Forward 2046 Healthcare & Community Summit, originally scheduled for October 17–18, 2026, has been rescheduled to Saturday and Sunday, January 23–24, 2027.
The Summit commemorates TGF’s 10th anniversary of service to the community. The decision to reschedule follows consultation with the National Weather Service in Guam regarding Tropical Disturbance Invest 96W, which is forecast to strengthen and pass through the Marianas this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, Invest 96W could become a tropical storm or typhoon as it moves through the region. Even without a direct hit, hazardous weather could affect travel and public gatherings. TGF made the decision early to help visiting faculty and guests avoid traveling into the storm and allow families across Guam to focus on keeping their homes and loved ones safe.
The Summit brings together healthcare leaders and subject matter experts from the U.S. mainland, Asia and the Pacific Islands. TGF thanks its faculty, partners and sponsors—including Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), Bank of Guam, United Airlines and other community partners—for their flexibility and continued support.

Summit Program and Purpose Remain Unchanged
Over two days, participants will help shape the First Edition of the Guam Health Forward Blueprint, a 5-, 10-, 15- and 20-year roadmap for healthcare on Guam.
Both days remain free and open to the public. Through CHLA, continuing education credit will be provided as follows:
- Up to 11.0 hours for physicians, nurses/nurse practitioners, pharmacists and social workers.
- Up to 6.0 hours for psychologists.
CHLA is jointly accredited by ACCME, ACPE and ANCC. Scheduled sessions and speakers will carry over to the new dates.
Updated schedule, venue and registration details will be announced at a later date and posted at www.toduguam.com.
Community Safety Comes First
TGF encourages residents to prepare their homes and families, check on elderly neighbors and loved ones, and follow official updates from the National Weather Service, Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), and other official Government of Guam sources.
