Free two-day summit marks TGF’s 10th Anniversary with nationally recognized speakers, accredited CE credit, and the release of Guam’s first-ever community-driven healthcare Blueprint.
Tamuning, Guam. Todu Guam Foundation today announced that registration is now open for Guam Health Forward 2046, a landmark two-day Healthcare & Community Summit taking place October 17–18, 2026 at the Guam Museum in Hagåtña and the Hyatt Regency Guam in Tamuning.
A Milestone for Guam’s Healthcare Community
Guam Health Forward 2046 is led by Summit Chairman Monsignor James L.G. Benavente and Dennis G. Rodriguez Jr., Founder of Todu Guam Foundation, and convened in commemoration of TGF’s 10th Anniversary of service to the people of Guam. The summit has been planned by an interprofessional committee of Guam healthcare leaders representing medicine, nursing, pharmacy, psychology, social work, behavioral health, and community health, ensuring that the program reflects the full breadth of our island’s healthcare community.
The summit will bring together physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, behavioral health providers, policymakers, educators, payers, and the general public from across Guam, the CNMI, the Pacific, Asia, and the U.S. Mainland for two days of featured sessions, regional dialogue, and community-driven planning.
The summit will culminate in the release of the First Edition of the Guam Health Forward Blueprint, Guam’s first-ever comprehensive, community-built healthcare roadmap covering the next 5, 10, 15, and 20 years.

That conviction has never wavered. But we have also learned deeply, that we cannot build a healthier Guam alone. Guam Health Forward 2046 is our community’s answer to that. The Blueprint that emerges from these two days will not be written by Todu Guam Foundation. It will be written by every physician, nurse, pharmacist, social worker, patient, family member, and community member who walks through those doors, and it belongs to all of us. We are simply the ones honored to convene it. An Exceptional Faculty
The summit features an outstanding lineup of nationally and internationally recognized healthcare leaders presenting across both days.
Day One: Saturday, October 17 at the Guam Museum, Hagåtña — opens with a Mass of Thanksgiving at the St. Therese Chapel of the Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica, followed by featured sessions on endocrinology and chronic disease, behavioral health and psychiatric specialty care, and a landmark conversation on building a Pacific Island Health Coverage Framework — a proposed regional response to the longstanding exclusion of Guam and U.S. territories from ACA marketplace funding.
Day Two: Sunday, October 18 at the Hyatt Regency Guam — opens with an Opening Visionary Keynote by Dr. P. Michael Stone, MD, MS, FAAFP, FMCP-M, Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Senior Research Fellow at the Ateneo School of Medicine Department of Research and Innovation, and Senior Advisor for the Office of Personalized Health and Well-Being at the University of Georgia. A clinical investigator with over 100 Phase 1 through 4 clinical trials and Core and Certification Faculty of the Institute for Functional Medicine since 2006, Dr. Stone brings a globally recognized perspective on preventive medicine, nutrition science, and functional medicine to Guam.
Day Two also features Dr. Leslie Stone, MD, Board-Certified Family Practice Obstetrician, fellowship-trained surgical obstetrician, and internationally recognized lecturer in maternal and perinatal health with more than four decades of clinical experience. Dr. Stone is co-founder of the GrowBaby integrated OB–nutrition care model, currently deployed across four states and four distinct delivery systems, and serves as Principal Investigator on the ROOT Study, a groundbreaking maternal health research initiative launching in partnership with a Medicaid managed care organization. Over the course of her career she has delivered more than 5,000 babies.
Additional Day Two sessions cover women’s health and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, graduate medical education and physician workforce development, military and veteran behavioral health, and the future of AI, telehealth, and digital health in the Pacific.
Dr. Todd P. Chang, MD, MAcM, Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Pediatrics, Director of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and Medical Director of the CHLA Las Madrinas Simulation Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, will bring a live hands-on neonatal simulation experience to the summit exhibit hall. It will be the first time this technology has ever been demonstrated live on Guam.
Regional partners from the CNMI, the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, and A.T. Still University will join Guam’s own specialist physicians across both days of programming.
Accredited Continuing Education Through Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Todu Foundation and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Up to 10.0 hours of continuing education credit is anticipated across both days for physicians, nurses and nurse practitioners, pharmacists, psychologists, and social workers. Pharmacists seeking ACPE credit must provide their NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth in MMDD format to claim credit through CPE Monitor. Final credit amounts are subject to confirmation by CHLA.
Registration for Guam Health Forward 2046 is free and open to all healthcare professionals and community members. Breakfast and lunch are included for registered attendees. Seating is limited at both venues, attendees are required to register to secure their place at this historic event.
